Project Brief
The Tuberculosis Health Action learning Initiative (THALI) project has been launched to reverse the grim trend of TB by working with multiple stakeholders in urban areas of Kolkata, Howrah and South 24 Parganas. Hijli INSPIRATION, a National NGO is involved in the programme as a Community Engagement Partner and is functioning in 12 Wards (14, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40) of Kolkata Municipal Corporation and 16 Wards (1 to 7 & 27 to 35) of Rajpur-Sonarpur Municipality.

Under this programme our activities are – 
• Connecting with all identified TB cases in the community for counselling
• Linkage with Bank and ADHAR for Govt. facilities of these patients
• Facilitate sensitization meetings through community mobilization, especially in the priority areas, as and when required
• Household visit around those area where the patient is identified and beyond, for spreading TB prevention messages
• Create opportunity for the TB patients and their family members to link with insurance schemes and microfinance
• Preparation of Digital Maps with Patient Plotting
